On 16 and 17 May, heads of delegations of the 40 participating countries of the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, gathered in Vienna to formally present their song, be informed of the latest developments regarding the organization of the competition, and more generally of the “Eurovision quinzaine”.
What have we learned on this occasion ? Not that much to tell the truth – eurovision69 was not invited…
But we do know, provisional dates for the contest 2016 have been settled on 10, 12 and 14 May. This is of course only preliminary dates, which could change to the demands of the host country – as they did last year.
We also know, the Interval Act of the final on May 23, will be performed by the percussionist Martin Grubinger (photo). A brand new 9 minutes long programm, for which he’ll be accompanied by 40 instrumentalists and the Arnold Schoenberg Choir.
Another recent announcement : the location of the Euro Fan Cafe. The EMS Lounge will host delegations, journalists and fans, day and night from 17 to 24 May. A weekly pass can be purchase in advance – 39 € but members of OGAE clubs can benefit a 29 € special offer. Unlike Euroclub, Euro Fan Cafe is open to all, whether accredited or not.
The OGAE party, each year the most-attended night of the Euro Fan Cafe, is scheduled on Wednesday 20.

No you are not invited to appear on the red carpet of the most important Viennese charity event. But on the other side of the canal, you’ll be invited to follow the event on a big screen…
