selections 2015

Finlande 2015 – que dire ?!…

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2015 or how to screw up one of the best selections of the year !

Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät wins the Finnish selection. The juries chose the favorites Satin Circus, but with their votes counting for only 10% in the final score, it was impossible for them to block the televote…

It is very complicated to criticize the group Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, which is not to blame anyway. This four-piece punk rock band was formed during a cultural workshop for the learning disabled. A documentary on the band, The Punk Syndrome, was released in 2012 and has won several awards both in Finland and abroad.

Well… That’s all very nice… And I deeply believe in art as a means of therapy – culture as way out, to open horizons, for publics say prevented in french. But we must not confuse everything, if the process is relevant, the result is not necessarily so.

Aina mun pitää is for me a long painful cry I’m forced to hear. A lack of compassion ? Perhaps, but those willing to put it in mp3 should throw me the first stone…
