We were a bit surprised of France 2’s choice for our candidate and her song, but the announcement of the two commentators for the final on 23 May, is an encouraging sign, which reassures us about the ambitions of our new broadcaster.
The two lucky ones could raise the ratings and incidentally, let us spend a very good evening ! A very gay friendly duet that perfectly match with what the contest is today, as the Swedes reminded us in Malmö.
Marianne James became known by playing the colorful character of Maria Ulrika Von Glott. She then joined the jury of french Idol, where she met Amandine Bourgeois (France 2013). Her memorable catch phrases (“you have shit in the ears”) and more generally her sense of humor, offbeat and crazy, makes me want to hear her comments on the contest.
Stéphane Bern is he one of the most popular french TV hosts and his giggles please every afternoon France 2’s viewers. In 2010, along with Cyril Hanouna, he already commented the contest in Oslo.
