Just to set a precedent, our first party of the fortnight was teeming !
A large part of the crowd was Viennese, young, beautiful… heterosexual.

ORF and the EBU have this year decided not to open the euroclub for the first week. A parties program in various venues of Vienna has therefore been established. On theory, that wasn’t that exciting, but if evrey nights look like the one of yesterday I say yes !
Leopold Cafe in MuseumsQuartier was the place of “Eurovision Start Night”.
Indeed when we arrived around 22:30, the playlist was 100% Eurovision and we were surrounded by many familiar faces from the press center.

But around 23:30 the DJ duo Die Mowe turned things over. The assistance became more dense and less eurofan. And yes I do love eursongs, but I admit that second part of the night was far much better than the first one…
1am I think, back to Eurovision, we were still there, a bit less sprightly, 3 pints of beer (per person) had been drunk by that lapse of time…
We left the place shortly before 2am and waking up was obviously a bit complicated…
If by chance you come to Austria and need to buy ibuprofen, note that in German Kopfschmerzen means headache. Also note that a non smoking place can here be completely smoky.
