selections 2015

Melodifestivalen 2015 – semi-finals 1 & 2

We heard Måns could be back in 2015. He is, as author… Huge disappointment !… Måns we love him ! But what we love is his pretty face, his hips waving, the little movement he makes with his knees while dancing. In short, we want to see him !

Semi-final 1 – Göteborg – February 7

Jessica Andersson – Can’t Hurt Me Now
(Aleena Gibson, Fredrik Thomander)

She was part of Fame, who sang Give Me Your Love in Riga. She also took part solo in Melodifestivalen 2006, 2007 and 2010.

Jessica Andersson – I Did It For Love (MF 2010)

Behrang Miri ft. Victor Fritz Crone – Det rår vi inte för
(Behrang Miri, Albin Johnsén, Måns Zelmerlöw, Tony Nilsson)

Back in 2013, Anton Ewald got rid of Behrang Miri and Jalla Dansa Sawa in the second chance round. Rapper, author and actor, he returns to competition with Victor Crone (completely unknown to me). And this is the song Måns Zelmerlöw has cowritten – Mååååååååns !

Behrang Miri – Jalla Dansa Sawa (MF 2013)

Dolly Style – Hello Hi
(Emma Nors, Palle Hammarlund, Jimmy Jansson)

Their name are Molly, Holly and Polly. They seem to have escaped from a manga. We finally got rid of Yohio, just to find out tart dolls…
Dolly Style

Molly Pettersson Hamar – I’ll Be There
(Molly Pettersson Hammar, Lisa Desmond, Tim Larsson, Tobias Lundgren, Gavin Jones)

In 2011 she was in the Swedish Idol. She would have been Robin Stjernberg’s girlfriend – let’s be honest, this is definitely no sign of great lucidity…

Molly Pettersson Hammar – A woman’s worth (Idol 2011)

Elize Ryd & Rickard Söderberg – One by One
(Elize Ryd, Jimmy Jansson, Karl-Ola Kjellholm, Sharon Vaughn)

Far away in the (very) dark, he could be confused with a blonde Conchita Wurst, or large version of Yohio… But no ! The gentleman is tenor and as far as I’m concerned, I wonder what he’s doing in that list…
She is a Soprano, pop singer at times, especially with the metal band Amaranthe.

Rickard Söderberg – Ich bin der welt

Daniel Gildenlöw – Pappa
(Daniel Gildenlöw)

Yes you know him ! Pain of Salvation, Road Salt, Melodifestivalen 2010, he was the singer, one of my favorites that year…

Pain of Salvation – Road Salt (MF 2010)

Eric Saade – Sting
(Fredrik Kempe, Hamed ”K-one” Pirouzpanah, David Kreuger, Sam Arash Fahmi)

No need to introduce Eric Saade. Cause he was the Swedish representative in 2011, cause we saw him in the green room of Malmö (not exactly his momentum), but mostly because he took a shower on the stage of Melodifestivalen 2010.

Eric Saade – Forgive Me

Semi-final 2 – Malmö – February 14

Mariette – Don’t Stop Believing
(Miss Li, Sonny Gustafsson)

Born Mariette Hansson, she’s best know as MaryJet and was in the Idol 2009.

Mariette – If Only I Can

Emelie Irewald – Där och då med dig
(Emelie Irewald)

Not much to say about Emelie Irewald… In 2011, she took part to the talent show True Talent and came out fourth.

Emelie – Gabriellas sång (True Talent 2011)

Linus Svenning – Forever Starts Today
(Aleena Gibson, Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad, Fredrik Kempe)

Farouk will be glad ! Linus was his pet last year… And his Bröder was actually really good !

Linus Svenning – Bröder (MF 2014)

Magnus Carlsson – Möt mig i Gamla stan
(Thomas G:son, Lina Eriksson)

I like Magnus… From 2000 to 2007, he just missed one edition of Melodifestivalen (2004) – with the group Barbados at the very beginning, within Alcazar from 2003, and all alone since 2006.

Magnus Carlsson – Lev Livet ! (MF 2006)

Samir & Viktor – Groupie
(Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad, Kevin Högdahl, Maria Smith, Viktor Thell)

Samir Badran was in the reality show Paradise Hotel, Viktor Frisk is known as a fashion blogger and was once a member of the boyband Lvl4. They recorded Success together, a summer hit in Sweden.

Samir & Viktor – Success

Neverstore – If I Was A God For One Day
(Thomas G:son, John Gordon, Jacob Widén)

Thomas G:son with a punk rock band !? What the f*** ?! They would be famous in Japan… But we know for sure, they sing (or scream) together since 2000.

Neverstore – Do you miss me ?

Marie Bergman & Sanne Salomonsen – Nonetheless
(Andreas Stone Johansson, Allison Kaplan)

They are the household (or history) part of this selection. Marie Bergman represented Sweden in 1971 and 1972 within Family Four and in 1994 as a duet with Roger Pontare. Sanne Salomonsen is Danish and began her career back in 1975.

Marie Bergman – Ingen kommer undan politiken (Allsång på Skansen 2010)
